Adeline Kroll

Adeline Kroll is an EU official working in DG RTD on European research and innovation funding. Her portfolio includes a.o., the management of research projects in widening countries and related EU policies, the organisation of events such as the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) and the Widening Day.  She has worked on EU environmental policies in DG Environment and at the Joint Research Centre based in Sevilla (IPTS) where she coordinated research projects on the social and ecological aspects of water management in Europe. Her background is in marine biology. She holds a MSc from the University of Washington and has studied before that at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Université d’Etat de Liège in Belgium. Her research has dealt with behavioural ecology of marine mammals and seabirds in the Antarctic, the Mediterranean sea and the Pacific ocean.
